Job Description
Parallel Employment is assisting local manufacturer in their search for qualified Packaging Machine Operators candidates for 1st Shift, Pay rates ranging from $16.50
FUNCTION:
Operates the cutting equipment. Sets up machine and cuts coated woven fiberglass cloth in accordance with the SOP and to all established quality expectations and customer order specifications.
Also, as part of a two-person team, operates the Coating Line. Sets up the coating line for production so that line coats woven fiberglass cloth with liquid resin in accordance with the SOP and to all established quality expectations and customer order specifications. Meets production standard every day; production standards vary based upon cloth size
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Math Skills - Add, subtract, multiply and divide.
- Able to measure and inspect using metric system.
- Physical requirements: stand all day, frequent lifting to 10 lbs., occasional lifting to 50 lbs., frequent carrying to 10 lbs., occasional carrying to up 50 lbs., frequent bending, occasional pushing/pulling, some reaching over head, constantly handling materials to restock components, and stage product on pins. Lift up to 100 lbs., with mechanical assistance, on an occasional basis.
- Able to use both hands simultaneously while working at a steady set machine pace.
- Physical tolerance to exposure to fiberglass
- Medical clearance to wear air purifying respirator in Coating Area.
- Operate an electric pallet jack and fork truck.
- Satisfactory work records.
- Willingness to work overtime, off-shifts and/or weekends if required to meet production schedule.
